New Bizerba labeling solution will allow food producers to significantly increase their production efficiency and safety of the labeled goods.

Provider of the labeling and marking solutions – Bizerba company - enriched their labeling software with an innovative "Plug-in Label" application. Its task is to identify the labels with data matrix code stamped on label paper and automatically adjust the configuration to the current production. Innovative functionality is improved thanks to a system that allows establishing cooperation between the goods labeler (GLM-levo) and thermal transfer labels (BRL 70 and BRL 90).

When the producer puts a roll of packaging labels on the device, the system independently verifies all relevant parameters – what makes it possible to reach printing speeds of up to 300 mm / sec after configuration. "The labeling system will check which label format should be print on specific material, recognize the areas of printing, the coating and adhesive type as well as maximum labeling speed " – explained Marc Büttenbach, sales director of the "Plug-in Label" system at Bizerba. For example, the application of BLR 90 labels allows ultra-fast print speeds of up to 300 mm / sec. However, after the recognizing BRL 70 labels, the system automatically selects a lower speed while maintaining optimal and fully legible print of bar codes and text. In addition, the system independently verifies the choice of the appropriate national language on the labels directly before printing. Another feature of Bizerba label brand is that every roll of labels has assigned a unique data matrix code, which guarantees its authenticity. The Bizerba company also ensured the economic aspect - the manufacturers will pay for a new feature only if they actually benefit from it and the cost of "Plug-in Label" is included in the labels price (from 10-15 percent higher than standard), rather than labeling machine. This solution will be available on the market in autumn 2013.
