Due to the implementation of the new waste segregation regulation, the fourth edition of the common waste collection of the Tesco, Carlsberg Poland and Coca-Cola HBC Poland companies was really special. The event "Who doesn’t bring waste – drops off" was a success not only in terms of a record number of participants (20 thousand people), but also because of the amount of collected garbage - a total of 22 tons of glass bottles, PET and cans.

„Green” thinking becomes not only the standard in business sector, but more often creates cost-effective solutions for individual household. One of latest idea is to ​​make pots for new plants of newsprint. The website ehow.com created an easy video manualon how to save money and hel the environment.

We have already written about incredible recycling solutions functioning in Spanish Pamplona, Greece, Japan, The Netherlands or USA. In those areas equipment for packaging recycling has become an efficient tool of communication and interaction with consumers, who are becoming more and more conscious, responsible and motivated to actions. Currently, two Polish cities can be added to the above list  – Lublin, where at the end of 2012 two recycling machines were installed, and Rewal, where at the beginning of 2013 the first recycling kiosk in Poland was installed. Both solutions were manufactured by Tomra. 

According to European Aluminium Foil Association e.V. (EAFA) aluminium packaging can be recycled over and over without any loss of quality. The organisation encourages re-use of recycled metal closures applied for wine, spirits , water or oils, since currently only 40% of them get their second life.
